— Lunar Practice —
The moon shares a natural connection with Yin Yoga. Each month, we offer a live Full Moon Yin class to honor the moon’s beauty and the meaningful role it can play in our lives.
Yin Yoga is rooted in lunar, cooling energy, often called “tha” energy. Much of Western culture is centered on Yang energy — the warming, solar energy known as “ha.” Yin Yoga helps restore balance in a Yang-oriented world, bringing greater harmony to the mind, body, and emotions.

The full moon is a perfect time to release anything no longer serving us in a positive way. This creates space in mind and body as we plant seeds for more positive thoughts and emotions — love, compassion, kindness, and forgiveness.
Become the calm in the midst of chaos.
With practice, we can take our Yin energy off the mat and into our Yang world. When we find balance between Yin and Yang and return to our frenetic lives, we become the calm in the midst of chaos. We become the change we want to see — and that change ripples outward to those around us.
Our full moon classes follow the same format as our regular Yin classes: breath work, postures, and a closing guided meditation — with a focus on lunar energy. Full moon classes are typically scheduled as close as possible to our Wednesday or Sunday Yin sessions.
