— Guided Meditation —
Yoga Nidra is an ancient, guided meditation practice that invites you into deeper layers of the body, mind, and emotions. The term comes from two Sanskrit words: “Yoga,” meaning union, and “Nidra,” meaning sleep.
As you rest on your mat with your eyes closed, you are gently guided into progressively deeper states of relaxation. Your awareness remains awake and clear, hovering just below the threshold of sleep while the senses begin to settle. Yoga Nidra can be a powerful practice for cultivating concentration, relaxation, and creativity while opening the door to self-healing and spiritual growth.

Your Yoga Nidra journey begins with a grounding meditation that explores the first chakra, or root chakra, located at the base of the spine. Associated with the element of Earth, this chakra supports a sense of safety, stability, and connection to the ground beneath you. From there, additional sessions expand upward through the remaining major chakras.
Private Yoga Nidra sessions with Janet are available via Zoom or in person for those in the Boulder, CO area.
